Assuming your kit is already inoculated and has colonized for 2-4 weeks, the time may vary depending on the strain and method used (liquid culture or spores). When 60-70% of the grains at the bottom of your kit are colonized, gently break up the block by squeezing from the top. Then, mix the grains and substrate together. The white mycelium will reappear after breaking up the grains. Once your block colonizes completely, mushrooms will start growing from the top surface.
